Secretary Report:  Approved the November minutes
Treasurer’s Report:
  • 2011 Books look great…Association made a profit
  • $10864.77 was paid to the City for Complex Maintenance

2012 Tournament:  May 12, 2012 for the U9-U10 soccer players

  • Register by paper
  • Email U9-U10 coaches
  • MYSA Tournament listing will direct coaches/managers to our website
  • $200 fee per team

Soccer Complex Update:

  • Fields will be aligned as in November Minutes
  • Concessions will be opened during games
  • Hand dryers have been installed
  • Port-a-potty will still be near the Warren/Carlander Fields

Concessions Yearly Report:

  • $4045 Collected, $3074 Expenses (food and paperware)
  • All Equipment is paid for

 

Uniform Update:

  • We have a supply of uniforms, will be ordering within the week to fill some holes
  • U8 and U10 numbers will be taken into account to move them up into the new uniform

Registration Update:

  • Ad in newspaper on the Sports Page
  • Postcard ad in paper on 2nd page/also online
  • Mass email to all parents of previous soccer players
  • Postcards sent to all Faribault Schools

Coaches/Teams:

  • Concussion Training required for all coaches (can be an online training)

Other:

  • ALL player passes NEED to be paid for before submitting to MYSA

Next Meeting is February 12, 7 pm at Washington Center .

Treasurer’s Report:  maintenance, fees, office supplies
2012 Tournament:  May 12, 2012 for the U9-U10 soccer players
  • 8 teams inquired
  • Working on gift bags, Chamber coupons, Water bottles and Participation Medals

Registration Update:
FSA board approved the following teams to be submitted to MYSA. The teams were based on how many players had registered. Space is available at every age group except boys 11,12,13 as of this date.
U16 Boys:  Johnson-manager, need a coach and a few more players  (Tues/Thurs nights)
U14 Boys: Johannsen and Stadler-coaches    (Tues/Thurs nights)
U13 Boys:  Kletschka and Larson-coaches, Stoneman-manager   (Mon/Wed nights) FULL
U10 Boys:  Andersen and Hanson-coaches  (Tues/Thurs nights)
U10 Boys:  Carrera and Bladine-coaches  (Tues/Thurs nights)
U9 Boys: Linnemann and Smith-coaches  (Mon/Wed nights)
U17 Girls: Wayland, Langeslag, Anderson-coaches, Bokman-manager   (Tues/Thurs nights)
U15 Girls:  Temples and Murphy-coaches  (Mon/Wed nights)
U13 Girls:  Frana, Dudley and Sammon-coaches (Tues/Thurs nights)
U11 Girls: Stadlers-coaches   (Tues/Thurs nights)
U10 Girls:  Boyd and Politoski  (Mon/Wed nights)   FULL

Secretary Report:  Approved the February minutes
Treasurer’s Report:  healthy balance, went over end of the year income/expenses.
2012 Tournament:  May 12, 2012 for the U9-U10 soccer players
  • 20 teams registered as of today

Annual Meeting(July 29):

  • Idea:  picnic at the complex 1pm
  • Checking with caterers for hotdogs/hamburgers/beans and chips
  • Rent the tent?
  • Bring own chairs

Overall start of the season:

  • 174 traveling players with 12 teams
  • 56 of those 174 are on the U9-U10 teams
  • All teams other than 3 have registered for both tournaments they wanted to play in
  • Little Feat:  100 kids in 2011, already have 141 registered for this year

May have to breakup into 2 sessions, already at max of 12 players per team
Recommended changes for next year:

  • Continue with the deadlines for player passes and uniforms
  • Discussion of how to handle  late registrations
  • Tournament guest discussion

Next Meeting is July 8, 7 pm at Washington Center .

Treasurer’s Report:  healthy balance, went over end of the year income/expenses.  Net Income $8225
2012 Tournament:  May 12, 2012 for the U9-U10 soccer players
  • 20 teams registered
  • Profit of around $800 for concessions
  • Profit of $784 from registration after expenses

Little Feat Update:

  • 180 total players from 4-8 yrs old
  • Thank you to the Rotary for donating $2500 each season

Concessions Update:

  • $1004 balance
  • Open when Bahl Field has games
  • High School games:  Boys will volunteer and earn 20% of proceeds, Girls will not volunteer and will not earn any of the proceeds
  • Reimburse concession manager for traveling expenses

Treasurer’s Report:  $46,628 Income     $43,760 Expenses
Introduction of Traveling Teams (collect ballots):
  • 180 Little Feat Players, 175 Traveling Players, and about a 100 Fall Soccer players
  • Introduced Coaches and kids that attended for each team  including  the U14 C3 Boys State Champs

Soccer Complex Update:

  • Added a flag pole and flag.  The City will replace the flag each year.  Our portion of  the Maintenance fee was~$10,864

Volunteers:  We thank the over 90 volunteers that helps our program succeed

Ref/Field Coordinator Update:

  • 15 -17 refs and a strong Mentoring Program
  • Watch website around Jan 1 for a step-by-step process for certification or email Missy Plante
  • Would like 10 more

2012 Tournament:

  • May 12, 2012 for the U9-U10 soccer players with 20 teams participating
  • Jesse James Shootout had asked to host their tournament of over 80 teams and 14 fields due the heavy rainstorm, we would be able to accommodate them, they were impressed with our facilities.  However, it dried out enough for them to host the tournament in Northfield.

Treasurer’s Report:  healthy balance, went over end of the year income/expenses.  Thank you Tim for your time and  talent as the Treasurer.  Approved $15,000 for the lights.  Bob’s Electric is donating time.  Grant has been applied for.  Might have  a lease  contract with Musco Lighting for the remaining balance.

2013 Soccer Festival:  May 11, 2013 for the U9-U10 soccer players, $200  fee
